Sydney, NSW – Sydney Brewery Media Release
On Wednesday, September 17, Sydney Brewery Alexandria proudly hosted the annual NSW Brew Day in partnership with Pink Boots Society Australia.
The event brought together brewers, industry professionals, and supporters for a full day of hands-on brewing, education, and community building. All in support of scholarships and programs for women and non-binary people in the fermentation industry.
The program featured a hop sensory experience with Jade from Ryefield Hops, a beer and cider dessert pairing session, and meals provided throughout the day. Attendees engaged in meaningful conversations, skill-sharing, and collaborative brewing in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
A highlight of the day was the collaborative brew: La Chispa, a bold Spanish sour created in partnership with Pink Boots Society Australia. La Chispa is here to celebrate rebellion, courage, and voices that refuse to be silenced. Brewed as a bold Spanish Sour with bright, zesty fruit flavours and a lively tartness, this beer transforms bitterness into strength and blazes a path toward a brighter, bolder future. Every sip is a spark of courage, a reminder to champion women, non-binary disruptors, and those who ignite change in the beer industry.
La Chispa will be canned and released this year, with a portion of proceeds supporting Pink Boots Society Australia scholarships and education programs, fueling the next generation of trailblazers in fermentation.
NSW Brew Day continues to serve as a platform for promoting equity and access within the brewing industry. Sydney Brewery extends its thanks to all attendees, volunteers, and partners who made the day a success.
ALL KINDS of DIFFERENT.
