Sydney, Australia – Sydney Brewery has once again proven its excellence at the 2024 Australian Cider Awards, proudly securing bronze medals for both of its ciders in an increasingly competitive landscape. The awards, held in Melbourne and hosted by Cider Australia, drew a field of 190 local and international entries, assessed by a diverse panel of nine expert judges.
Luke’s dedication and skillful crafting of Sydney Brewery’s ciders has contributed to yet another successful year on the competition circuit. The consistent accolades serve as a testament to the quality and creativity driving our ciders, with Sydney Brewery’s Lager also achieving sustained gold-medal success throughout the year.
Among the standout winners at the event was South Australia’s Hills Cider, which took home the Best in Show for its Pear Perry, while Plenty Cider from Tasmania emerged as the Most Successful Small Producer. New Zealand’s Peckham’s Cidery and Orchard also made strides with its Apple Zero, taking gold in the emerging No/Low Alcohol category. In total, 20 gold medals and 10 trophies were awarded, marking an impressive year for the cider industry.
“We’re incredibly proud of our achievements and the consistent recognition our ciders receive,” said Richard Feyn, VP of Cider Australia and head of marketing at Sydney Brewery. “These awards highlight the dedication and skill of our team and our commitment to crafting high-quality beverages that reflect both our passion and expertise.
